Abbey walks

It took a lot of work and some bumps along the way, but it appears that Abbey has finally taken those controversial first steps.

Abbey ... being Abbey

In all honesty, I haven't a clue what's going on here. A game of beek-a-boo, perhaps. That or Abbey really hates Auburn.

Awards day

It's with great pride and a hint of sorrow that we announce Sarah has officially graduated from the sixth day. Though it was a long day, and even longer ceremony, we watched as she gathered up serveral awards including citizenship, all A honor roll and maintaining a 95 average for at least two years.

You go girl! The whole family made the trip and even Abbey got a lift from Daddy to reach the school.

celebration

It took a lot of work, but the Buckners finally arrived in Columbus. And on our first full weekend we had a little impromptu party, complete with ice cream courtsey of the ice cream man who crusises around Garrett Pines every afternoon ... I knew I liked this place.

Rocking chair antics

Abbey loves to rock ... alone and with others. But for the parents of such a wildchild, it's important to remain vigilant, what with the danger of over-rocking.

Abbey at home

For all of you wanting photos of the new house ... I'm working on it, promise. For now, you'll have to curb your appetite with a few shots of Abbey roaming around in the yard and helping Mom out in the kitchen ... and Sarah lounging in her new room.

Swimming lessons

Though it took a bit of prodding, Sarah was finally pushed into the pool at Grandaddy Mike's house and was kind enough to give her little sister some swimming lessons. Though the floaties kept her from drowning, it was really big sis' Sarah who kept Abbey afloat.
